Nougat cream cookies slices are made with a shortbread cookie base, nougat cream and a white chocolate drizzle.
I have a giant jar of nougat cream in the pantry. That giant jar of nougat cream will expire soon, so I need to use it up. I looked up recipes online to try and find a way to use nougat cream in a recipe, unfortunately, every dessert recipe either uses actual nougat or they're recipes to make nougat cream (and I already have it so those recipes are useless to me.)
I ended up coming up with an idea for nougat cream cookie slices. I used the shortbread base from this millionaire's shortbread recipe and added a couple of tablespoons of nougat cream to the dough. Top the shortbread dough with nougat cream, bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, let cool, and then melt some white chocolate to drizzle all over the top. Cut into squares and tada ! Nougat cream cookies slices.
Now, the nougat cream I used is this one, crème de nougat de Montélimar. Amazon US has this one that you could use.
